Well, the answer really is very simple – leads and not just any leads but qualified leads. In other words -'sales prospects in your pipeline'.

It is no use to anyone to have a well honed sophisticated sales funnel if you do not have leads feeding into this

Leads in your sales funnel is like the blood in your arteries carrying life giving oxygen around to the cells.

How stressful is your school summer vacation?

When I had a 'job' I used to dread the school vacations because I knew that they would create childcare issues that were either difficult to arrange or just very expensive. 

If you have children you know how it is.  You either have to take turns to take your own vacation from work to look after them or you have to shell out huge sums of hard earned $$ to pay someone else to do this for you.

Yet, all the while you wish that it were easy to be at home to enjoy being with your family doing the fun things you really wanted to be doing.  After all this is what having children is all about.

All you really want to be doing is being the proud parent who gets to see their children learn to ride their new bike properly and to take them to the park for picnics – the little things that kids love to do but that as an adult we tend to forget about or take for granted.

A lesson in personal growth from the family rabbit.

We have got 3 pet Rabbits who are all very special to us, Dusty (dad), Loopy and Lulu (the kids) and as the weather here in the UK is pretty good at the moment we like them to play outside as much as possible so we built them a run in the garden. 

Nothing flashy, just 4 posts in the ground and some chicken wire around them to stop escapes, but they love it and it keeps them safe.

Now, ordinarily all 3 are happy to play and run around and eat the dandelions and clover and to lie in the sun.  However, just the other day Dusty decided that he wanted to explore and go beyond the boundaries he knew and felt comfortable in so he did what Rabbits do well he, dug his way under the wire and got out into the bushes.

Obviously, a family panic ensued once we noticed he was missing and an immediate hunt began (the usual drama of tears) .  It did not take us long to find him though because within just a few minutes he was back at the wire and he was trying his best to get back into the run.  The problem that this created was that he then got his head stuck in the wire and of course created another different trauma. These are the sort of stories that make family memories …

But, the point I am making with this story is that Dusty did exactly what we as people do when we venture out of our comfort zone, he felt uncomfortable

……………and he wanted back in sharpish.

Although this comfort zone may not be absolutely perfect we feel safe within it.  It provides us with boundaries that we are familiar with and when we go beyond these it creates feelings that can range from slight unease right through to sheer terror. 

How we deal with these feeling is what differentiates those who grow from those who stagnate. Those who stay with those feelings and work through them are the ones who evolve and move forwards in their lives to bigger and better.

As beings we all need to feel safe and protected but and this is a huge but…..our potential for growth is far greater when we put ourselves into that discomfort zone of being out of the comfort range. 

By making ourselves feel uncomfortable we learn so much more about ourselves as we struggle to find a new level of comfort and when we get there we find the journey there changed us.  Dusty did not understand this being a bunny, but we as humans have the capacity to understand this.

So, if you are wanting to change your life and move yourself out of your current zone you have to make that move and take action. 

You have to have persistence, faith and the will to succeed no matter what.  Providing you have these you will have the strength to move yourself through those 'different' feelings to move yourself onwards and upwards to bigger and better every time.

I read a recent exchange on facebook regarding websites and it shocked me to realise that so many people in Network Marketing and internet Business are still relying on company replicated sites.  Despite the constant stream of information and training on attraction marketing and self branding there are still literally thousands of home business owners out there still using ‘me too’ web sites.

Don’t get me wrong they do have a place.   Even I started out using the company pages as a newbie, it got me up and running and ready to go.  Newbies who are struggling with information overload, time shortage and a lack of skills need something to ‘plug and go’ they have to get up and running somehow and the company page does just this.   But, once you get up and running you have to learn to ditch the ‘me too’ site.   

Just think about it, if you were looking for an online business opportunity would you choose the relicated site – a faceless page that takes your $$ or would you prefer to be able to meet your new sponsor before you buy?

By learning to create your own pages and site you make that differentiation and you begin to position yourself as a leader not one of the pack.  Humans need to follow leaders especially if they are venturing into something new and unknown.  They need to feel safe and need to feel that they will be given help and support and feel reassured.  They need taking by the hand and to be gently led to where they want to go. If people are looking for a new internet business then they need to feel that they are joining a person who will help and support them personally, not a faceless company just taking their money.

The replicated company site has been in demise for quite some time and the final nail in its coffin came late last year when google waded in with its machete and cut thousands of advertisers adrift for being too much of the same.  Even the new kid on the block Facebook has started out as it means to go on and if they catch you being a ‘me too’ you will be out before you know it.  If that’s not the biggest hint to go it alone and brand yourself then maybe it’s time to look for something new..

The bottom line is quite simply that there is no excuse for not being self branded today.  The competition out there in cyberspace is huge but if you are branded well and positioned well then you will be perceived as a leader who others will want to follow.  A good personal site or blog shows you are investing time and effort into learning new skills, and that you have much to offer others.

There is so much excellent marketing education to access and much of it is free that there is quite simply no excuse for anyone to be relying on the same ‘me too’ sites that so many people still use. So, time to roll up your sleeves and get to work, learn attraction marketing  and show the world who you are, what you have to offer and to create the most valuable brand you can ever own You Inc. where you will quite simply be able to sell anything to anyone anywhere….

Over here in the UK we are experiencing some wonderful weather (if we get a good spell of 3 or 4 days we are doing awesome!) so like any sensible nation we take immediate advantage of this and get out the old BBQ and invite a few friends round . 

We have some friends who live several miles away and they invited us round on Saturday night so off we went looking forward to the usual feast Lorraine cooks (she is an exceptional cook and John an exceptional host).

We were all sitting out in the garden enjoying the evening, when right out of the peace roared a 747 (oops, I completely forgot that the airplanes would be going right over). 

John and Lorraine live within 200 yards of the end of the runway so, to say the planes are low when they fly over is a bit of an understatement (see the picture we took) and being a Saturday evening all the flights from Spain and Europe were coming in thick and fast.

As the planes were roaring over I made an observation ……..

…….It is almost impossible to concentrate or think of anything else whilst a deafening roar is distracting you and it is impossible to 'listen'. Your mind gets completely controlled  by this roaring intrusion.

So, just relate this to yourself and your online business.  How can you ever expect to concentrate and focus with a laser like precision when you are allowing yourself to be constantly distracted by irrelevant nonsense?

It's impossible!……………

In order to manage your valuable time you need to master managing your mind and your concentration.

I am not talking about the roar being a jet plane because we all have many different noises and distractions, just think about them….. thoughts not related to what we are supposed to be concentrating on, other people trying to get our attention, tv, radio,

Learning to concentrate

• Stop trying to do more than 1 thing at once – concentrate on the task in hand. You will be amazed at how much quicker it gets done when you concentrate.
• Learn to control and quieten your thoughts so no more distraction comes from them
• Learn to keep yourself focussed so set out your goals and objectives before you start
• Do not spend too long on any one task because when boredom sets in so does distraction
• Stop checking your email and phone messages every 10 minutes.  Do this just once or twice a day
• Position yourself away from distraction, turn off the phone and close the door
• Practice the art of meditation and unleash the raw power of your subconcious mind
• Keep physically fit and well we need to be functioning well on every level – body mind and spirit.
• Take time out to rest

Learning to listen

Learning to listen is a great skill and learning to listen to your subconcious is the most important way to develop your intuition.  With the constant 'chatter' of the concious mind the whisper like messages from the subconcious get missed and lost.  Our intuitive skills need developing so we learn to rely on ourselves to make good decisions.  We have to learn to recognise what feels 'right' for us and act on this. 

The subconcious does not rely on 'learned' reactions and old behaviour patterns it relies on a finely honed nervous system feeding back to us what is right and safe.

Over the centuries as humans we have been weaned away from self reliance to a state of almost complete reliance on outside forces to guide us.  The governments, schools, society all tell us what is 'best' for us and make decisions on our behalf under the guise of it being in our best interests.

But, only when we take a concious decision to reclaim our power and sense of responsiblity do we truly begin to grow into the beings we are meant to be.  The subconcious mind is the gatekeeper to our inner guide which guides us to fulfill our purpose and place.  It is not a language of words but  a system of feelings, emotions and gut instincts and it can only be heard when the innane chatter of the concious mind is stilled and controlled.

So, stop allowing the 'roar' of the airplane engine to control your mind - accept the responsibility of your mind, thoughts and emotions as yours and put your life on track to where it is meant to be.

 The Wait Is Over & The Results Are In At Carbon Copy PRO…

One of my favourite trips out is to a small northern mill town called Hebden Bridge here in West Yorkshire. 

There are a number of reasons why I love this place so much, first of all it is beautiful, it just lies in a small valley in the pennines surrounded by lovely clean clear countryside, it has the river and a canal and a multitude of beautiful walks.

The energy is uplifting and the people are typical northerners which means they are plain talking, friendly and very helpful. 

But by far the best attraction for me as a marketer is the town its self. 

Why?

Well let me explain … Hebden Bridge is very unique because as you wander around its streets you begin to notice that the shops are different.  The difference is that the usual overpriced, boring high street chain shops that adorn every high street  are conspicuous by their absence (the only one to be found here is a Boots chemist).  Hebden Bridge has very cleverly branded its self as a town with a uniqueness.

What you do see are lots of beautiful, different and individual shops.  Shops owned by artists and artisans, and people with imagination.  Shops that are beautifully presented, kept clean and are enticing to go in.  This town practices attraction marketing perfectly. 

Because the shops belong to the individual who either makes the product or markets it they have an air of being loved and cared for and the imagination that goes into many of them is breathtaking.  This is a place where you want to wander slowly and buy, this is a town that has set its self apart from the crowd and even today in our current economy the shops and streets will always be busy.

We all have a favourite and mine happens to be The Yorkshire Soap Company.  Marcus and his business partner had an awesome idea – to make soap yummy. 

The Yorkshire Soap company shop is a soap boutique selling hand made soap cakes, soap cup cakes and bath truffles that resemble edible truffles.  All are beautifully made works of art and unless you knew they were made of soap you would think that you were in a patisserie.  And, what's even better is that no nasty chemicals are allowed!

As you walk down the street you see bubbles floating through the air and your curiosity is instantly aroused so you follow them, the nearer you get to the shop the more the smell entices you in.  This is very very clever marketing.

The shop is light bright and airy, it smells divine and the displays allow you to touch, hold, smell and try. The displays are not cluttered but give you space to look and see.  Soap cup cakes are displayed on cake stands and bath salts are placed in big bowls so you can feel and smell.

All of your senses are aroused and you start thinking of excuses to buy presents. This is a very clever and subtle seduction.

Not only that the packaging and branding is awesome – you get your slice of soap cake in a miniature cardboard handbag or your truffles get tied up in a bag with ribbons.  I buy all my friends presents from here and now they buy all their presents from here too.

Marcus himself is a lovely friendly man who obviously loves his work.  He always has time to talk and he happily tells you about his products and sometimes gives you samples to try. He packages your purchases beautifully no matter how busy he is.  This is a shop you want to return to and you want an excuse to buy someone a present because it is so lovely and different.

We recently had a family wedding and the bride and groom decided to break with tradition and not have an edible wedding cake.

Instead they asked Marcus to create a soap cake (that way everyone got a piece of soap to take home instead), the cake he created was perfect and is still being talked about. 

Excellent marketing is about creating a different brand that offers value and is attractive to others.  It is about having an idea or a passion then finding a way to share it with others.  Learning 'how' to market is about learning the skills to enable you to be able to sell anything to anyone, anywhere

It is about providing a service that goes above and beyond the norm – over delivering on every count. 

It is about daring to be different and unique and it is about having the courage and faith to go for it. 

For me the Yorkshire Soap Company ticks all of the boxes and has got it just right.
