Are You An Action Taker?

As a mother to a 7 year old daughter I constantly walk the tightrope of wanting her to learn to make some decisions for herself yet still wanting to guide her. There are times when I want to just hold her hand and decide for her but I know that long term this does her no favours. It is exactly the same process in work and business with colleagues and employees who you may be mentoring. Everyone needs the space to develop these skills for themselves to develop into the person they are truly meant to be. The true skill as a parent/mentor is to tread the middle path in not seeming to interfere yet not be giving too little input.

Having the ability and confidence to make a decision and then taking action to see it through are skills that we all need to learn and are skills that some acquire more quickly and astutely than others. The better we are at this means the more focussed we become and the more confident we become in ourselves and our abilities. In time we begin to listen to our internal voice – I usually find that when I make a quick decision to act like an almost instinctive reflex my best results follow. So, I now look at the facts and see how it ‘feels’ with me and if it ‘feels’ right then I get on with it and take action.
If I sit and think and think some more then my logical questioning mind takes over and doubt can creep in and the results are never the same.

Over the years I have found that once I have decided to take action and put my energy into doing it then the universe conspires to help me in seeing it through. I now have the confidence to quickly assess if this is going to be the right thing for me or not and then take action.

Entrepreneurs are action takers they do not sit on the fence prevaricating they decide and then act massively. They see the opportunity then ‘go for it’. Obstacles are never seen as this they are dealt with and the main goal is ALWAYS in sight.

Entrepreneurs are driven people who have very clear goals they are working towards with great purpose and they single mindedly pursue them. If obstacles show themselves they find a way around them looking at them as opportunities.

Entrepreneurs show great persistence never ever giving up and have a total faith that they will get to where they want to be.

Entrepreneurs are not quitters and do whatever it may take to get to where their dreams lie.

Where are you?
