Half term holidays are here already I cannot believe it is February it only seems 2 minutes since it was Christmas. So, here the Mehr family is in the Lake District in North Western England & one of our favorite places. A breathtakingly beautiful region of hills, lakes, scenery & wildlife. The air is clear & fresh the birds seem to sing all year round this place is so inspiring it is easy to see how Beatrix Potter, William Wordsworth & John Ruskin all got their creativity & inspiration from living here. A friend had recommended a walk we had not done before, so this morning after a huge breakfast we set out to Orrest Head a short hike out of Windermere. We had been warned that the views from this point were spectacular and we were not to be disappointed as they truly are. There is a truly awesome 360degree view which takes in the whole of Lake Windermere & all the surrounding hills and fells. The sort of view that would even tempt a non artist such as me to take up sketching. So to give you all a taste of this I made a short video because it is so important to take the time to visit place such as this to regenerate our inspiration & refire our creativity. For me being able to visit places like this & spend time with my family like this is my reason for doing what I do my reasons are big enough are yours? httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvxpQ9X9tq8
