Out Of Chaos Comes Order
Have you ever noticed in nature that out of sheer destruction & chaos, order will follow?
Look at a natural disaster such as a forest fire. Once the blackened charred stumps have been left to cool then nature begins again and over a short period of time new growth will begin and gradually new trees, plants and wildlife will once again habit the same space.
But in the process of the destruction all the old 'deadwood' and unwanted rubbish is cleared away making room for new fresh growth.
This is how life works….. We collect friends, belongings, thoughts, habits and emotions. These may serve us for a time but maybe over time they no longer serve us & unless we clear them out they remain like excess baggage in our lives weighing us down unnecessarily. We have all got 'friends' who leave us drained and exhausted. We have all got belongings that we do not like but for some reason feel obliged to keep ……WHY?….
The Chinese have got it right with Feng Shui – living harmoniously with your surroundings and surrounding yourself with things/people you reagrd to be useful or that you love.
Think about it – this is YOUR life – no one elses. If you no longer get value from someone/thing then you can decide to rid yourself of it.
Until you do this then you will be constanty attached to whatever it is both physically and mentally/emotionally and this distracts your focus from new and worthwhile projects.
I prefer to keep my life stripped back to the essentials because over the years I have found that the more excess belongings & attachments I have the harder I find my focus the more distracted I become. My whole life feels cluttered & I know the time has come to 'clear out' once again.
Just like in nature once you strip back your life to what is essential the easier it is for other things to find their way to you – other things/people that will serve you better on this particular part of your journey.
By giving things up you will be able to attract what you need next and the skill is is knowing what to clear out and having the courage to do so.
